About Tashiara
An assiduous, optimistic illustrator with a focus on connectivity with nature through impressionistic artwork.

Hello! My name is Tashiara Payne. I am an artist and illustrator with a focus on nature themes. I earned a BFA in Illustration with a focus on Concept Art at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD), graduating Summa Cum Laude in Dec 2024.

I have spent my entire life in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State. I have a strong love for nature and helping others find a similar connection with Mother Earth. My goal is to spread a connection to nature as well as self-driven happiness, mindfulness, and awareness of the importance of mental health through my artwork as well as my everyday life. I prefer working with acrylics, oils, and digital but also enjoy working in many other mediums. I am inspired by even the smallest details found in nature such as the unique patterns created by the senescence transformation of leaves in the fall. I archived this pattern as a reference photo early this fall.

In my free time I like to spend time outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, gathering reference images and I would love to get into bouldering. I enjoy admiring other artists’ work in person and online. I also like gaming on a console, or computer, and tabletop games. I also enjoy a variety of music including EDM and rap. I love all things witchy and was recently gifted my first tarot deck. I have two black cats I absolutely love and adore. I love animals, I would be elated if I had a farm one day with some huskies, horses, cows, chickens, and just all of the animals! I am obsessed with tacos, especially street-style tacos. I love watching horror movies, as well as most other genres, including true crime and other documentaries/docuseries.

Obligatory photos of my kitties are below. My girl Cirilla (slender short-fur) and my boy Yami (the big floofy one).
